1.4 Hyperlinks

A hyperlink is a clickable piece of text or a photo that refers to another page of the website, a document, another website or an e-mail address. With WebEtui-CMS it is easy to make and use hyperlinks with the hyperlink-info popup and the hyperlink dialog.

When you click on a hyperlink in your website in WebEtui-CMS you will see the hyperlink-info popup. Here you can change the tekst of the hyperlink or the address.

Make a new hyperlink

  1. Select the tekst or photo you want to link.
  2. Click in the toolbar [hyperlink], the hyperlink-dialoog will popup and the text (or photo) will become a hyperlink.
  3. Choose the hyperlink type: page, document, website or e-mail.
    Hyperlink to page: select the page to be linked to. With [afb. groene pijl] you can navigate.
    Hyperlink to document: select the document to be linked to
    Hyperlink to website: type (or paste) the url
    Hyperlink to e-mailadres: type (of paste) the e-mailadres
  4. Submit with button 'invoegen'.

Change a hyperlink with hyperlink-info

  1. Move your mouse cursor over the hyperlink, hyperlink-info will appear
  2. Click in the hyperlink-info to change the text or href

  1. Move your mouse cursor over the hyperlink, hyperlink-info will appear
  2. Or click on [potlood] to open the  hyperlink-dialoog
  3. Choose the type of hyperlink: page, document, website or e-mail.
    Hyperlink to page: select the page to be linked to. With [afb. groene pijl] you can navigate.
    Hyperlink to document: select the document to be linked to
    Hyperlink to website: type (or paste) the url
    Hyperlink to e-mailadres: type (of paste) the e-mailadres
  4. Click on the orange button 'aanpassen'.
  5. Or click on [gebruiken] to test the hyperlink

Delete hyperlink

  1. Move the mouse cursor over a hyperlink, hyperlink-info appears
  2. Click on [verwijderen] to remove the hyperlink, the unlinked text will remain

Hyperlink testing

  1. Move the mouse cursor over a hyperlink, hyperlink-info appears
  2. Beweeg de muis over een hyperlink, hyperlink-info verschijnt
  3. Click on arrow to go to other page or website. Other websites and documents wil be opened in new browser tab.

Hyperlink with  XML/Tekst

The code for a hyperlink can also be typed directly at tab XML/Tekst. The text and link are separated by | en between [ and ].

In this way you can also make hyperlink of a photo. A photo in xml is the name of the file between [ and ].
